AIRBNB CREATIVE SPACE

I was asked by Airbnb to create a visual identity for Creative Space Sydney
2018. The underpinning concept of the visual appearance is inclusive
design. The idea behind the visuals is to create friction and translate this
feeling across different media and formats. The design further incorporates
elements that can get lost in ‘translation’. Therefore, only parts of the letters
appear or are written in different languages. The colour scheme and grain of
the background symbolise the struggles of the visually impaired. At the event
people were informed about the concept and later received a second menu
which complies with inclusive design principles.
